I met Emma and August before sunrise in the parking lot at Glacier Point the morning of their wedding. They started the day by getting into their elopement attire and began writing their vows to one another. The blue morning light was just starting to get brighter as Emma and August exchanged an emotional first look. The first look was followed by an exchanging of vows and rings just as the sun rose over Half Dome in the distance. The park was just starting to wake as Emma and August entered this new chapter in their lives.
The short and sweet wedding ceremony was followed by couples portraits and the couple popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate.
We took a break from photos and exploring the park during the mid-day only to reconvene for another adventure in the evening. Emma, August, and I hiked down to Taft Point to catch the sunset at one of the most iconic locations in the park. Emma and August took in the sweeping views of the Yosemite Valley 3,000 feet below and watched the sunset on their first day as newlyweds.
Elopements are an incredibly special way to celebrate your relationship in a way that is unique to you. You can spend the day exploring and adventuring in the outdoors, just like Emma and August did for their wedding.
